Description

The alternative metal band that refuses to die, Jesters of Destiny are about to drop their 4th LP on Oct 25. Distorting Everything will be introduced via the single and vid for “Your Lord Good God,” out Sept 13. The LP will be accompanied by the video “Luxifur,” the world’s first heavy metal cat video. Their previous single, “Heavy, Kickin’ A” released in 2020 immediately prior to the U.S. presidential election, leads off the LP. The Jesters initially returned from their original run in the ’80s with 2017’s The Sorrow That Refuse to Drown, and then in 2018 with the reissue of the covers EP In a Nostalgic Mood. New Noise wrote: “Like a rotting corpse rising up from an ancient mausoleum, Jesters of Destiny walked out of the shadows and back into the admittedly dim spotlight last April, 2017, when their first record in 30 years was released by the revered Finnish label Ektro.” BraveWords cited it as ‘the kind of hard rock/metal that only they made.’ New Noise said ‘The band is as contemporary and bustling as ever, mingling perpetual open taste, humor, proto-heavy metal and distinguished psychedelic groove.’ Original band leaders and co-conspirators Bruce Duff and Ray Violet were back at it once more, and as before, gathering like-minded talents around them to flesh out their musical hijinks.”
