Milky Way and Nervous System represent the macro- and microcosm, the duality of ‘chaos’ and ‘symmetry’. Milky Way is a large-scale church organ work in which the vibration of sustained notes and the wide range of sound emulate the infinite nature of the universe. Whereas the Milky Way can be associated with the collective anthology of humanity that connects generations through past, presence, and future, the human nervous system evokes roots, paths, and relations within the individual. The electroacoustic soundscape of Nervous System comprises percussive instrumental effects on top of piano lines. The album Milky Way and Nervous System was inspired by the intriguing juxtaposition of a purer and ethereal world (macrocosm) and the noise and pulse of society (microcosm).
