Brand new 3-song 7″ from one of the mightiest bands in punk, and I’m stoked to see the band return to their original aesthetic after their Sub Pop single. After just a few listens I’m thinking this might be my favorite Condominium material yet. Much like their LP they start off with a totally ignorant, stomping hardcore riff then get totally weird. The riffs here are just this otherworldly combination of catchy and inventive… the song on the b-side in particular is just transcendent, with this totally bizarre riff that sounds like later Black Flag jamming with Rudimentary Peni or something, but even weirder… it’s almost in the territory of avant-garde classical music, but still totally punk. Brilliant and utterly essential. Highly recommended.
