Reviews:

“A demanding listen, this cult album seeks to push boundaries… It’s a harsh, discordant recording through and through, put together using a lot of non-standard instrumentation… it has a kind of dystopian feel to it, like the soundtrack to the end of civilisation. Perhaps more so now than on its original release… Some of the loudest, most ear-splitting elements of “Japanoise” are by default not designed to sound pleasant… [This] seeks to push boundaries and shows that the band is dedicated to their own, distinctive modus operandi… If you have a taste for unconventional, provocative noise projects then definitely check this out” (Trebuchet)

“Industrial  style  beats, harsh  noises  and  power  electronics… a  decent  amount  of  junk  percussion  and  home  made  instruments  while  distorted  screams  and  shots  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording… some  influences  of  80’s  era  experimental  and  industrial  are  mixed  in  with  a  more  modern  brutality  as  well  as a  decent  amount  of  rhythmic  patterns…. The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  death,  doom,  darkness  and  violence  themes. Mothra  are  a very  great  sounding  mixture  of  death  industrial  and  harsh  noise” (8/10, DarkUndergroundMusicZine)
