Description
“Ritual for the Rainbow” is a short film about four preteens who live outside of society’s safety nets due to domestic violence. Ariel, Rupi, Liisa, and Hemmo make a living by shooting rats at a junkyard and collecting empty bottles. They lack role models and authority figures until they meet a Wiccan who organises rituals to teach them confidence and how to combat violence and patriarchy — for a fee, of course. Candy for life! Magic in colour!
This is a special limited edition cassette with 50 copies in gold glitter and 50 copies in green glitter. The cassette is self released by Sami Sänpäkkilä who made all the music. Milo Linnovaara plays wind instruments and Jaakko Niemelä has mixed the dialogue heard on the tape.
