Finnish short-lived jazz-rock/prog band active in 1973-74. The group featured Olli Ahvenlahti o piano and keyboards, Markku Lievonen on bass, Pekka Rechardt on electric guitar, Matti Jakola on flute, Upi Sorvali on drums and Tapani Ikonen on percussion. The name of the band, Taivaantemppeli (The Temple Of Heaven), means Chinese medicinal balm that cures headache and sore throat. They didn’t release anything, but in 2016 three tracks recorded in late 1973 were issued on Taivaantemppeli – Jazz-Liisa 2 (LP) and also Unisono & Taivaantemppeli – Jazz Liisa Live In Studio 01 / 02 (CD).
