Description
“It goes without saying that Wino is truly a legend within the Doom community, like Matt Pike (High On Fire, Sleep) said “If anyone deserves to be a rock-star is that guy”. His resume for Doom Metal, Stoner Metal and Metal in general is second to none, The Obsessed, Place of Skulls, Saint Vitus, Shine (USA) / Spirit Caravan, Shrinebuilder, The Hidden Hand, Solace and now fronting his solo band Wino. After Tony Iommi, Scott “Wino” Weinrich is the most important and influential guitarist to ever emerge playing doom riffs. Some might debate that, but not many people have had the impact or have the status that Wino has. This album is dedicated to Jon Blank (1974-2009) who passed away four days after this show. Jon was the bass player who together with Clutch drummer Jean-Paul Gaster, formed the rhythm section on Wino’s solo debut, “Punctuated Equilibrium”.”
